All things animal: from the observed to the imagined is a vibrant and thought-provoking exhibition featuring the distinctive work of nine accomplished artists from Geelong, Melbourne, and regionalVictoria–Paul Compton, Miranda Costa, Vanessa Esau, Kevin Foley, Jill Green, Rona Green, Michelle Merrifield, Cathy Ronalds, and Heather Shimmen.Exploring the rich theme of the animal realm, the exhibition presents an eclectic mix of styles ranging from naturalistic to fantastical and surreal. Works span a diverse array of mediums, including drawing,painting, collage, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and mixed media–each offering a unique interpretation of our connection to the animal world.

In addition to the opening night, we are proud to host a ‘Meet The Artists event’:12.30pm–2pm Saturday 16 August 2025. Drop in to view the exhibition and meet the Artists in person. Paul Compton, Miranda Costa, VanessaEsau, Rona Green, Cathy Ronalds, and Heather Shimmen will be at the gallery to chat and share insights into their work.
