We are delighted to present "Echoes of Light," a group exhibition that pays homage to the Australian Impressionists of the Heidelberg School, who transformed the art landscape with their groundbreaking 9x5 Impression Exhibition in 1889. This seminal event, featuring a series of small panels that captured the ephemeral beauty of the Australian landscape, marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of Australian art.
In this exhibition, contemporary artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the techniques, themes, and spirit of the Heidelberg School, reinterpreting their focus on light, color, and the unique Australian environment and its people. Through a diverse array of mediums and perspectives, artists are to engage with the legacy of the past while pushing the boundaries of Impressionism into the modern era.

$60 - (includes 9x5 framed board (Valued at $40)
30% commission on all sales inclusive of GST
Things to know
Each artist that enters will receive a framed 9x5 board upon which they are to create their artwork. How the artist chooses to use the board is up to them.
Boards will be available to collect from Liminal Gallery and Lab on Wednesday 15th October and should be returned with your completed work by Saturday 22nd November at 2pm. Drop off dates are strictly enforced.
It is the responsibility of the artist to determine the price of their work however, to ensure that all works are of a similar value, Liminal suggests pricing your work between $400-$600. Please note that Liminal takes a 30% commission on any works sold.
All works MUST be presented on the provided framed board. All works will be exhibited and artists are encouraged to invite friends and family to the opening celebration.
No refund will be provided for works which are not presented on the provided framed board or are dropped off after the indicated drop-off date.
