In this workshop, Lucy Allinson will help you create compelling and professional bios and statements that reflect your unique practice. Lucy will guide you through the essential elements, including how to clearly convey your artistic journey, inspirations, and goals in a way that resonates with galleries and audiences. Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your existing documents, this workshop will provide you with practical tips and expert guidance to write confidently and effectively.
About Lucy Allinson: Lucy Allinson is a multi-disciplinary artist who works across sound, installation, painting, sculpture, and photography. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Monash University (2018) and an Honours in Sound Art from RMIT University (2019). Lucy’s extensive experience spans gallery work, including volunteering at MUMA, and working at Platform Arts and Geelong Gallery. She is also an experienced interior painter and gallery technician with a diverse skill set in both public and private spaces. Lucy’s passion for the art world extends to offering mentorship and workshops, helping artists improve their practices and navigate the complexities of the art industry. Her expertise is built from years of hands-on experience in fast-paced, professional art environments.
